Superman

I found the pattern on Ravelry, these are the Twisted Maiden Fingerless Gloves by Anushka Tay http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/twisted-maiden-fingerless-gloves

The pattern is very simple, though I am afraid these may end up being too small for my niece. I'm going to finish one, put it on some scrap yarn and have her try it on before I bind it off and start the second one.

My square for the scarf is coming along, I've started it a few times with a few different yarns and I need to get going if I want to use the one I've decided on.

C's scarf is coming along well, I finished the first chart and have started the second. All in all, the knitting is going well.

Wallace & Gromit

There hasn't really been much knitting lately. There has been a lot of work at my job (or it seems like it!) and much ado about car troubles, but very little knitting. That being said, the Dark Mark scarf is coming along nicely. I am finished with the first chart and will soon start the second. Currently I am designing squares for a friendship scarf; I have what I think are some wonderful ideas. I just need to get some more graph paper.

I think it is time to watch more Wallace & Gromit. Perhaps today will be the day.

A good season

Namaste Bag

Yule time was generous to this knitter. Not only did I get two wonderful new knitting books, 101 Designer One Skein Wonders, and Knitter's Lib, but I also got a gift certificate that allowed me to buy a Namaste knitting bag! And I found a new yarn shop in St. Peter, MN called The Tangled Skein. They had a wonderful selection including SWTC, Rowan and Blue Sky Alpaca!

I have started the Dark Mark Scarf, and it is turning out well. The Nagini Sock is also coming right along, though I probably won't get its mate finished until later this year.
